Yesterday was my second game at Koshien (甲子園), as Hanshin Tigers (阪神タイガース) were playing host to Hiroshima Toyo Carp (広島東洋カープ). If you have missed the blog post detailing my first experience there, earlier this month, please click here.
This time, we were further away from the action, in the "Alps", but the view was still pretty nice. (At some point in the future, I will also try the outfield section.)
The game was quite close. Neither team could establish a firm lead, and we went into extra innings.
At this stage, Hanshin's struggling pitcher Andoh almost lost the game on his own, and gave Hiroshima a 4-2 lead, much to the delight of their faithful supporters.
The Tigers were not going to let this one slip away though, and mounted a fight-back in the bottom of the tenth.
A solo home-run from Lin, a Sekimoto single, and a two-run walk-off homer from Toritani! 5-4, Tigers victory! Unbelievable!
This victory leaves the gap between us and league-leading Giants at only 0.5 game. I can not wait for the rest of the season, a feeling clearly shared with the other supporters.
As usual, more details are available on Hanshin-themed blogs, for instance here and here.

Alors c'est plus fun de ce cote la ? : )
