Yesterday we joined a group of friends and went to Arashiyama (嵐山), just West of Kyoto. The weather was fairly cloudy, but did not prevent us from having a great day.
Despite the poor light, some of my pictures did not turn out too bad. Here is a small selection.
There was still quite a few green leaves left, but yellow and red really are becoming the dominant colours.
So far this season, the picture below would have to be my favourite one.
In fact, it has now become my computer wallpaper, profile picture on Facebook, and avatar on twitter.
I have an afternoon in Expo Park planned in just about ten days, and would like to go to Kyoto again in the near future, so further "autumn-themed" posts should follow.
