Goodbye Japan!

Exactly a week ago, at this very moment, I must have been somewhere over Russia, on my way back from Japan.
My plane had left Kansai International Airport a few hours before, giving me yet another chance to witness a cute tradition in Japanese airports: waving planes goodbye. I am not talking about kids or families here. The actual ground staff from the airport waves (and bows) at departing planes! I love it!

These pictures were taken with my iPhone (my camera being safely packed in the bag under my seat), hence the lack of zoom. It still gives an idea of what is happening, though.

The night before leaving, Shiho and I fought the gloom with nice drinks at Ramada's Lampada bar. There is nothing like a Bloody Mary to properly celebrate the end of a great trip!
Incidentally, it gave me an opportunity for a "clin d'oeil" to my very first post on this blog, which contained a shot of cocktails I enjoyed with Vanessa in the first night of my first trip to Japan, back in 2007.

またね、日本!

(but don't worry, there will be plenty of Japan-flavoured posts coming shortly, as I still have to sort the pictures I took over there)
