On Monday, I went to Mishima, in the Shizuoka prefecture. It was my first experience of a small size Japanese town, and it was enjoyable.
Mishima is very close to mount Fuji, and already from the train platform, the view was quite nice.

The town itself really felt like countryside. Apart from the station area, there was very few large buildings. I like urban Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, etc.), but this was very nice too!
The weather was not perfect, as can been from the above photos, but I was not here for tourism, so it did not really matter. My meeting at NIG (pictured below) went very well, and this is the most important.
If this gives me opportunities to come back to Mishima, I certainly would not mind seeing more of the city.
